What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been doing agility and weight training 5 days per week.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I have been working extremely hard on being lighter and quicker on my feet. I love the weight room, but football is played on the field.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think our team is positioning itself to do very well next season. We have been hitting the weight room and plyometrics at least 3 days per week. I believe we have a chance to improve upon what we did last year.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“This is a tough one to answer. We play a 5a team Denver East in zero week. They stuck it to us pretty good last year early in the season. They have plenty of talent returning, but we feel we can do much better this year. Then you talk about our league and we have a few tough challenges in Cheyenne Mountain, Centaurus, and the league winner in Grand Junction. All will be tough games. Our goal is to stay together as a team and be prepared for each opponent one game at a time.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“This is another challenging question as our league has a few very good players who represent their teams well and are a challenge for us. CM has Sam Hawker on offense and Cole Rueschhoff on Defense, Centaurus is returning Halas Wise and a group of talented receivers, Grand Junction has Matthais Martinez returning for his senior season as well. I am sure I am forgetting a few other special players, but we know we have our work cut out for us each and every week.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yeah I want to play football in college. It’s the goal of playing college ball that gets me up and working everyday both on the field and in the classroom. My absolute dream school has always been Oregon since I was in 2nd grade, but the real goal is to get to the best school where I can showcase my talent with the best system fit for myself and the team that offers me.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have been sending out my film and filling out team recruiting forms with the colleges we are targeting early. Having just left my sophomore year, I am really looking forward to June 16th this year. It’s when the window for coaches to reach out directly to me opens. My coaches have talked with a few teams that have expressed interest however, I am respecting the process of waiting until June 16th to hopefully hear committable offers from interested teams. Until then I will keep grinding every day to impress whichever coaching staff is interested.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“See above.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not taken any specific trips at this point.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I have a few camps coming up that I have been invited to in June. It will be my first opportunity to experience some of the campuses and stadiums.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“As I mentioned, I am going to a few camps this June. A few of the camps I have been invited to or plan to attend are Wyoming, Purdue, Miami OH, Cincinnati, Missouri State, Indiana, and Coastal Carolina.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up my favorite team is Oregon. I love their play style and up-tempo offense.”
