What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“When it comes to off season workouts as of lately, we lift every day, 2 hours a day, we also go out with our QB and get some routes up, keep the muscles ready for upcoming camps this summer.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“Since last season, I feel that as a team, our chemistry and communication has improved significantly. Personally, my footwork and speed have been improving. In my first year into football I didn’t have the strongest footwork and hip movement.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Next year, we’re all on the same page. It’s senior year and we know what that means to us, it’s our last chance to go out and shake the scene a bit, put Coal Ridge on the map.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“About the competition, there’s a whole bunch of guys coming to get the Coal Ridge boys, and we know that. As long as we play together and head held high, and we do what we need to, we can’t be beat.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“We know Will Tarallo is out there for Basalt, he’s a strong guy, it’s hard to stop him when he’s on that game. All we have to do is prevent him from getting started and hot early, try our best to keep him at bay.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Sports in college is a dream for every athlete. From my peewee football days to now, all I’ve wanted to do is compete at the next level. There isn’t any specific college, there’s too many out there that I know feel like home, I just want to find the one that acknowledges me and welcomes me. One that will push me harder to get to the highest level possible.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“As of right now, not many colleges have been recruiting me. I have been in contact with Buena Vista University over in Storm Lake, IA. I went out for the Junior Day visits and really enjoyed it. There will be more to come after this senior season.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“There isn’t any major attention towards me or full recruitment yet, I still have a lot more to prove than just what I did last season, and it will get done.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I made one college trip over to Buena Vista University, I sat down and talked to Coach Hubbard, the defensive coordinator there, all about the defense, how they work, and what they run. I sat down and had a great conversation with Coach Dickinson about what BVU stands for, and it felt a lot like home.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I would love to take more trips if they’re offered to me, I want my name known and I’ll work as hard as I can to get myself on the map. Nothing is handed to you in life, it’s earned.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“Camps this summer, we have a few big ones. We have a full contact camp at Western University, we also have a 7on7 and drills camp at CU Boulder, we got the Broncos pool play camp where if we win that, we move on to play at the practice facility, we host our own camp here at Coal Ridge and we also go down to Colorado Mesa University. We’re going to stay active that’s for sure.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I did have a favorite college growing up, I always dreamt of playing for the LSU Tigers under Coach O, that franchise was electric, one could only dream to be a part of that. I also dreamt of playing for Virginia Tech because Kam Chancellor was and is one of my all-time favorite players. They turned him into a dog and I aspire to have that same dog in me.”
