Update - Aspen tight end Henry Hurd
How did the high school football season go overall?
“I thought we made a lot of progress throughout the year as a team. We’ve got a great coaching staff (many of whom played D1) and a very young team with several sophomores and freshmen who either started or got significant playing time (including myself).”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Once my basketball season is over in about a month, I will be all-in preparing for the upcoming football season. While I was all-conference as a sophomore, scored 8 TDs, and was ranked a Top 25 WR in my class in Colorado (despite being a TE), I feel like this is just the beginning for me and if I put in the work to get bigger, stronger, and faster in during this offseason the sky’s the limit. I’m 6’4” 190 lbs right now but I’m just getting started.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think we’re going to do great. As I mentioned, we have a really young team with a lot of great athletes who have already contributed as underclassmen. We have big plans as a squad for the next two years.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Basalt—they are our rival and are always strong.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I thought Rifle’s QB was really good last year. Very athletic and could pass as well as run. He’ll be back next year.”
