How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like next season my team will be very successful. We have a great coaching staff, and we are in the process of getting a new head coach. We have a very talented freshman and sophomore class that will make an immediate impact on the team next year. This year there was not much of a passing game, which was a bug problem, but with me moving to quarterback, I hope that me and the receivers will change that and become a big threat in the pass game. I am really looking forward to next season.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We are not sure yet if we will be staying in 4 A or will be moving up to 5 A, but if we stay in 4 A, Vista Ridge is a very talented team and will be some great competition next year.”

“I would have to go with Brayden Dorman, along with Bebe Hills, two great players who can really play ball and can make the pass game hard to stop.”

“I don't focus on the "best" individual players, overall this is a team game. Team chemistry is important, if a team has good chemistry, they are a good team.”

“As a team we’re going to do everything we can to win a state championship next season because we know that we belong with the top competition in the state. Amongst myself and 3 other players, we are returning 4 first team all-conference defensive players and we have young upcoming talent.”

“I believe every school comes to play hard. The schools that stand out to me are Valor and Cherry Creek. They both have excellent programs and have been very successful, our team looks forward to playing them next year. “

“There are elite athletes on every team, one player that I look forward to competing with is Cherry Creek receiver Ismael Cisse. We’ve played as teammates and on opposite sides of the ball and he plays at a high level. As a defensive back I always want to compete against the top guys and I feel like we make each other better.”

“So far this offseason our team has been pretty dedicated to the weight room if not playing any winter sports, I think with the amount of grind being put in we should have a pretty solid team next year.”

“We have an amazing coaching staff with years of successful experience. We also have great upperclassmen returning in key positions and I am really excited to see what we can do next year.”

“I feel that Vista Ridge is going to be the hardest competition on our schedule next year. They have Brayden Dorman and Bebe Hills returning as seniors and that duo is a handful. They also have great coaches like their head coach Mike Vrana who get the team to play the best they can against anyone. Vista has a great offense and are returning some great players on defense. I am super excited about that matchup.”

“Definitely the toughest individual player is Bebe Hills. He is fast and dynamic in every aspect of the game and the whole district has to have Bebe at the center of their game plan. My coaches made it very clear to me that I was not to kick off anywhere near Bebe.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We’re hungrier than ever! We have a lot of 4-year starters and experienced players coming back next season so we’re excited to get rolling. Our playoff loss was tough and left a bitter taste in our mouth. Coming into next season we believe that we belong in the conversation with some of the Top teams in the state. We’re loaded with talent and we’re fully bought into a winning culture and mindset. My senior classmates are eager to do whatever it takes to win and be playing in the state championship.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We play a lot of great programs this year which means we will absolutely have to bring their A-game but I feel our hardest matchups this season will be against Palmer Ridge and Pine Creek. Pine Creek and Palmer Ridge are two powerhouses in the springs that have won multiple state championships and are highly seeded in the playoffs every year. We considered those two schools as rivals because we know each other so well. Not only are we so close in proximity but a lot of us are friends off the field, we train together weekly, we compete on the same 7 on 7 teams and a lot of us have played little league football with each other or against each other so there is a lot of familiarity when we hit the field. Every time we line up against each other, the stands are always packed, the crowd is roaring, and it is the game of the week across the whole state.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Every week each team we play is always going to give us their best and we will play against great players across the state. I can’t really list one individual player or a short list of the great football players we will be playing each week. Every team creates different matchups and has their share of studs that are going to ball out. Coming into the season, we are going to respect every single one of our opponents and be locked into the weekly scouting reports.”

“As of right now I feel like Prairie View and Denver East will be the toughest appointments we play next year. Just based on outcomes of recent years. But I do feel strongly that every game during the regular season we will win.”

“From the best of my knowledge Isaac Gomez Class of 2023 wide receiver will probably be the best player we face next year when we play our rivals Thornton High School. He is a fast, good route runner and is the main attraction to their offense. Last year when we played them I believe we gave up our only touchdown to him.”

“For next football season I’m hopeful for my team as a whole. The majority of returning players have been in the gym with me a lot as well and a few even do track as well with me. I would say that everyone who played last year is determined to go back to Mile High and play for that gold trophy again and will do so by any means. The season hasn’t even started yet for this year but I feel as though our team has come together again with one goal in mind.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“In terms of teams that we have on our schedule I would say anything could happen with any of them. Last year when we played Montrose in the semifinal game we knew they would be a tough opponent and we did everything we could to prepare for them coming to our field to play and I feel like we were still caught off guard. Overall that was a physically and emotionally draining game for both me and my teammates and I think it’s safe to say they will be a tough opponent again this year. Adding on with other teams I think a lot of teams that have been in the dark for a couple years now may rise above others and could prove to be challenging but we will have to see what happens in the actual season.”

“If I'm going to be honest I don’t know if there will be a toughest individual on a team we will face. Over the years at other schools I know of players who have stood out but looking at our schedule so far I’m not worried about any individual player as whole but I am looking at how the teams we will play will try to come together to beat us. We still have a big target on our back still even though we got 2nd place this year and I think there will be a lot of people going after us who are very determined to win.”

“I have high expectations for our team. “We play a lot of great programs this year which means we will absolutely have to bring their A-game but I feel our hardest matchups this season will be against Palmer Ridge and Pine Creek. Pine Creek and Palmer Ridge are two powerhouses in the springs that have won multiple state championships and are highly seeded in the playoffs every year. We considered those two schools as rivals because we know each other so well. Not only are we so close in proximity but a lot of us are friends off the field, we train together weekly, we compete on the same 7 on 7 teams and a lot of us have played little league football with each other or against each other so there is a lot of familiarity when we hit the field. Every time we line up against each other, the stands are always packed, the crowd is roaring, and it is the game of the week across the whole state.”

“For next football season I’m hopeful for my team as a whole. The majority of returning players have been in the gym with me a lot as well and a few even do track as well with me. I would say that everyone who played last year is determined to go back to Mile High and play for that gold trophy again and will do so by any means. The season hasn’t even started yet for this year but I feel as though our team has come together again with one goal in mind.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“In terms of teams that we have on our schedule I would say anything could happen with any of them. Last year when we played Montrose in the semifinal game we knew they would be a tough opponent and we did everything we could to prepare for them coming to our field to play and I feel like we were still caught off guard. Overall that was a physically and emotionally draining game for both me and my teammates and I think it’s safe to say they will be a tough opponent again this year. Adding on with other teams I think a lot of teams that have been in the dark for a couple years now may rise above others and could prove to be challenging but we will have to see what happens in the actual season.”

“If I'm going to be honest I don’t know if there will be a toughest individual on a team we will face. Over the years at other schools I know of players who have stood out but looking at our schedule so far I’m not worried about any individual player as whole but I am looking at how the teams we will play will try to come together to beat us. We still have a big target on our back still even though we got 2nd place this year and I think there will be a lot of people going after us who are very determined to win.”

“I have high expectations for our team. We had a lot of key seniors from last year’s championship run that we’re obviously going to miss, but we have guys that are ready to step into those roles and play a part in winning football. I expect there to be some growing pains along the way with the young group that we have but there is a lot of talent and I'm excited to see how we handle the adversity.”

“When we made our schedule we played some pretty tough games. The one that stands out is week 3 against Cherry Creek. They’ve won 3 straight state titles and are an extremely talented team. It’s going to be a key game on the schedule next year and I'm looking forward to showcasing the talent we have on our team against the best competition possible.”

“Our state is packed with talent and there’s going to be a lot of kids we play that are really good football players. One that sticks out to me is Blake Purchase from Creek. We played him in basketball last year and we saw that he is big and athletic and really talented.”
