Q&A with Denver South wide receiver Alijah Landrum-Hamilton
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes I will play college football. I feel God has that in the cards for me, I’ll have a successful college career and be an NFL pick. That’s the future I see for myself. That’s what I work so hard for.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve had a few colleges showing interest: K State, Troy, Wyoming, Texas State, CU.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I don’t think anyone has really been recruiting me the hardest, the reality is I am only a freshman and have a lot to improve on and continue to get better at. Next year I have even more to prove and display, showing that I can improve mentally as well as physically. I want them to see a new athlete next year, see how much my skillset and body has developed in a year.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yes I’ve been to CU, K State, Texas Tech, Utah, UNC with [my] team.”
Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“Yes 2024 I will kick off with a National Combine in San Antonio, TX at the Alamo dome. I’m excited to go compete against some of the top athletes in the country and also watch the All American Bowl, get to see my guy Dre Miller [who is a] 5 star WR who committed to CU ball. He let me know he’d be down there also which just motivates me more. Knowing guys like him makes me raise the bar.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Yes my favorite college growing up is LSU, they develop some of the best WRs like Justin Jefferson, OBJ, Chase, I watch a lot of film on Justin Jefferson and OSU of course! They produce a lot of WR and then Texas Tech, my grandpa and uncles all played for Texas Tech. One was drafted by the Redskins.”
