Game Talk is a feature from Colorado Prep Report where we quote athletes
throughout the state about their opponent this week on the football field.
Quotes included are from Montrose vs. Montbello, Overland vs. Cherry Creek,
Palisade vs. Lutheran,and Chatfield vs. Pomona.

Opponent - Montbello
Montbello: “We are going to watch film but I don’t know much about them. We
haven't played them in any sport so I’ll be finding out more.”
The
Montbello players: I don’t know anything yet.”
Keys to a victory: “It is
to play physical football. Whoever is more physical will win that game.”
Having a target on their back as the #1 seed:
“Yeah, I think that every team
with the #1 seed is going to have it tough. It is the playoffs though so it is
what it is.”

Overland: “We have seen them once and they are pretty talented. We have to
prepare for them like any team. We have to make sure we are ready.”
The
Overland players: “They got a pretty good quarterback that can run through a lot
of defenses. Last game we did a pretty good job shutting that down. That is
probably the same game plan we will have for that.”

Palisade: “Not much. I’ve only seen a little bit of film on them.”

Palisade players: “I have seen about ten minutes of film so I don’t know much
yet.”
Keys to a victory: “I think the keys are just us playing together
as a team and not trying to be selfish. We are doing everything we can and
sacrificing for each other.”
Goals: “We want to win the state
championship obviously. That is our #1 goal. Another is to play together and
that would be the second thing.”

Chatfield: “They seem to have some good players. With us being #8 and them being
#9, it is going to be a good game. I am excited to play them and see what they
have to offer. We will focus and give it our all this week.”

Chatfield players: “I know they have a good defensive line. Their backs are
pretty good from what I’ve seen and heard.”
Keys to a victory: “It is
execution, penalties, and turnovers. Whoever wins those will be the best team
that day.”
