#16 Douglas County at #1 Fairview

What to Watch For: The weather. If one thing can at least slow down the
Fairview offense, it could be the weather. No teams have done it in 2013.

Most Valuable Player: Anders Hill/Sam Martin of Fairview
Prediction:
Fairview 42, Douglas County 27
The Difference: Good weather combined with
some elite speed all over the field help Fairview to the quarterfinals.

Percentage Chance of Lower Seed Upset: 10%

#9 Chatfield at #8 Pomona

What to Watch For: If Pomona can make plays late to win the game. This
team is nine points away from being 10-0 on the year but gets no mention because
of their narrow losses to Cherry Creek and Pomona.
Most Valuable
Player: The Pomona offensive line
Prediction: Pomona 31, Chatfield 25
The
Difference: Chatfield has been up (Cherokee Trail) and down (Mullen) at times
this year. They have the talent to win but Pomona has come to play every
game out. It shows and pushes them to a narrow victory.

Percentage Chance of Lower Seed Upset: 30%

#20 Grandview at #4 Regis
Jesuit
What to Watch For: Will the Grandview offense be able to score?
The Wolves scored four touchdowns in their four losses but has had a lot of
success moving the football in their victories. Now they face a Regis
defense who has given up 14-points in their last four games.
Most
Valuable Player: Jalen Williams of Regis
Prediction: Regis Jesuit 20,
Grandview 7
The Difference: The playmakers that Regis Jesuit has defensively
are hungry and want to prove what they can do once again.

Percentage Chance of Lower Seed Upset: 5%

#12 Doherty at #5 ThunderRidge

What to Watch For: What Doherty running back Zach Young can do with the football
in his hands. He has been making headlines all season but outside of
Valor, this defense will be the toughest he has faced all year long.

Most Valuable Player: Steve Ray of ThunderRidge
Prediction: ThunderRidge 41,
Doherty 24
The Difference: Doherty deserves credit for an excellent season
but ThunderRidge has been at another level in 2013. Their senior class has
guided the team to a great mark against a difficult schedule and that has them
battled tested for this round.

Percentage Chance of Lower Seed Upset: 5%

#15 Ralston Valley at #2 Valor
Christian
What to Watch For: If the Ralston Valley defense can slow down
Valor Christian and their high powered offense.
Most Valuable
Player: Christian McCaffrey of Valor Christian
Prediction: Valor Christian
55, Ralston Valley 25
The Difference: A gigantic offense line combined with
a number of elite athletes to move the chains are what Valor has used all season
to succeed. That formula continues here.

Percentage Chance of Lower Seed Upset: 2%

#10 Grand Junction at #7
Columbine
What to Watch For: Two dominating offenses slugging it out to move
on. Both teams have spent the fall putting up video game type numbers and
it shows every game out.
Most Valuable Player: Bernard McDondle of
Columbine
Prediction: Columbine 42, Grand Junction 38
The Difference: The
home field advantage along with the best player on the field in McDondle is what
the Rebels will use to setup a battle with Valor Christian.

Percentage Chance of Lower Seed Upset: 35%

#19 Overland at #3 Cherry
Creek
What to Watch For: If the big play offense of Overland can put up
points. Cherry Creek held Austin Conway and company to just six points
during a Bruin victory in late September.
Most Valuable Player: Milo Hall of
Cherry Creek
Prediction: Cherry Creek 24, Overland 14
The Difference:
Cherry Creek has the athleticism to slow down Conway and uses that formula for
another postseason victory.

Percentage Chance of Lower Seed Upset: 10%

#11 Mountain Range at #6
Cherokee Trail
What to Watch For: If Mountain Range can finally earn the
respect they deserve. They sit at 9-1 and although their schedule has not
been against the very best, they have done an excellent job taking a step
forward and showing that they can compete at an elite level.

Most Valuable Player: Aric Johnson of Cherokee Trail
Prediction: Cherokee
Trail 29, Mountain Range 14
The Difference: Cherokee Trail knows what it
takes to win in the playoffs and that experience is vital here. Evan White
and company are primed for a rematch against Cherry Creek.

Percentage Chance of Lower Seed Upset: 5%
