Update - Mullen linebacker Jordan Marin

What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“So far this off-season it has been a solid start. From Monday through Thursday 2 hours of lifting then after 2 more hours of field work. Whether it’s drills or 7on7. Then go home and lift for another hour and a half.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I’ve improved the most on my mentality. This being knowledge of the game by watching film, or self-confidence. Also, just because it’s my upcoming senior year so of course that’s going to have more meaning to it.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel the team will do really good this year. Our team has been through 4 different coaching staffs, and it’s been difficult to really get started. But I feel our defense will be Top 5 and our offense will have major improvement from last year.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“All the teams we face are tough. We have the top RPI in the state again. I feel we can beat any team. It doesn’t matter if it’s Valor or Pomona, we have a good chance of beating any team.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“The toughest individual player would be Gavin Sawchuk with Valor Christian. He’s physical, shifty and fast. He can tear up a defense just by himself.”

Do you want to play football at the college level?
“My dream is to play football at the next level. No matter if it’s D1, D2, D3 or even Juco. I just want to play.”

What college programs have been showing you recruiting attention?
“Schools like Tufts University, Minot State, CSU Pueblo, Southeastern Louisiana University and more.”

Is there a school that is recruiting you the hardest as of now?
“Tufts University has reached out more than the others as of right now.”

Have you made any college trips yet? Do you have any plans for trips ahead?
“No college trips yet but I am doing camps. The plans I have for college trips would be the colleges that have definitely reached out with that interest.”

Do you have a favorite school at this point in the process?
“Not really a favorite school just because I have been to visit. But that time will definitely come when that takes place.”

Are there any camps you plan to get to this during the next few months?
“A few camps I would like to attend would be the camps here in Colorado but a few out of state like Utah or South Dakota camps.”

Did you have a top college that you grew up cheering for?
“The top college I grew up cheering for was Notre Dame. Not only for football but it’s beliefs in Catholicism.”
