How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season did not go as we expected, held ourselves to such a high level, maybe it was too high. And really had to go through adversity, having to pick up a week 0 game with Elizabeth, due to Battle Mountain dropping their season once again. Definitely feel like there were games that we could have won but didn’t, whether it was mistakes on the field, or in the press box, or on the sideline, but just like a team we will win like one and lose like one. Also had to get used to a brand-new coaching staff, which was hard to understand at times, but will be forever great-grateful for their time.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I plan to attend as many camps as I can this off season to further expand my name, and I plan on sticking to my off-season workouts that are 6 days a week while working out with the team in the morning while running track.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We are a young team, many of the sophomores and freshmen will grow and become athletes, there is a lot of time, but as of now I do not have a guess on how our season will go, but with everyone evolving, there are still shoes to be filled all around the field and will be hard to do but not impossible.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“As of now we do not have a football schedule, but if we played the same teams, I would have to say Basalt, and Palisade, games that could have easily gone both ways but drifted out of reach. Both teams have absolute dogs on both sides of the ball and can’t wait to go at it for four quarters on a Friday night. Next season.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I feel like Basalt’s Will Taralo will be a big bump in the road, because of his speed and ability to react. Also Conifer’s Solomon Washer, due to his size and frame but, if we can execute as a team, we can shut these playmakers down.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes I want to play sports in college, I want to play football at the divisional 1 level if possible, I still have 2 more years to show each and every recruiter who I am and what I can do on the football field.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“As of now I have been In contact with Utah, Western Colorado, William & Mary, Minnesota State CTC, UNC Colorado, Chadron State, and Jamestown.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I would not say any of them are recruiting me harder than the other but will love to keep my option open to any coaches.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips this off season. But I hope to.”
Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“I plan on visiting colleges maybe during the summer once it’s camp season, and hearing back on coaches once camps get official, I have a lot of coaches I want to meet face to face.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“As a kid I loved USC, but fell in love with Texas Tech, and CU Boulder, both dream schools of mine, schools that I hope I can play for if given the chance.”
